Dark Green Fritillary-This Butterfly of open habitats is unaffected by strong winds and has a fast and direct flight.fortunately,it frequently feeds on the flowers of thistle and knapweed ,allowing for close-up views.Like most other fritillaries ,it has orange upperwings with dark spots .The underside of the hindwings,however ,are distinctive green colour,marked with white spots,Winterton north dunes.
